Planning Your Wedding Day at The Waterfall
We treat your wedding day as one continuous experience rather than a string of separate events. Our team helps coordinate the main pieces of your day, from ceremony plans and room flow to food, cake, lighting, and timing. You still choose the vendors that matter most to you, while we help keep the day moving.
Two Ballrooms Built for Different Visions
The Grand Ballroom is designed for larger weddings, with marble columns, crystal chandeliers, a marble dance floor, and access to the Grand Ballroom Patio with our signature waterfall.
The Cascade Ballroom brings in natural light through custom arched French doors and has a hand-carved marble dance floor, draped ceiling accents, and nearby gardens for cocktails, ceremonies, or a quieter moment during the event. It comfortably hosts up to 325 guests. When a couple wants to bring both spaces together for a larger celebration, the entire house can accommodate up to 800 guests.
Ceremonies, Indoors or Out
Our landscaped grounds include marble water fountains, columns, a gazebo, and a bridge, making them a practical choice for an outdoor ceremony. Guests then move through arched French doors into a rotunda with a handmade blown glass chandelier, before continuing into the cocktail room, where 18-foot ceilings and an onyx stone wall set the tone for the next part of the evening.
Delaware weather does not always cooperate, and we plan for that. If conditions do not permit an outdoor ceremony, we can host it indoors in the reception space instead. That room can be flipped back during cocktail hour, so guests can enjoy the next part of the day while the reception setup is brought back into place.
Food and Bar, Built Around Your Guests
Our wedding packages are all-inclusive, starting with a cocktail hour that includes staffed culinary stations and more than thirty passed hors d’oeuvres. Dinner follows as a four-course meal, and some of our most popular entree selections include Champagne chicken, Chateau Briand, Scottish salmon, and Maryland crab cakes as an upgraded option. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available for guests with dietary needs, and we use high-quality ingredients sourced locally whenever we can.
Our all-inclusive packages include catering, but we also allow outside caterers for Indian weddings and other celebrations where a specific cultural menu is important. If your family’s menu calls for a caterer who specializes in that cuisine, we will work with them directly.
What You Plan, What We Handle
You choose your photographer, DJ, and florist. We take care of catering, event lighting, and your wedding cake through one of our partner bakeries, The Master’s Baker or Desserts By Dana. We recommend reaching out to your chosen bakery at least four months before your date to schedule a tasting and design consultation.
On the day itself, our event coordinators help guide the schedule, and your bridal attendant and Maitre’D are there to keep things moving so you can stay present with your guests instead of managing logistics.
